2008 Mills King 40

2008 Mills King 40

This 2008 Summit King 40 BLITZ has a proven track record of dominating Caribbean waters. This king of the seas has clinched victory in almost every race it's entered over the years, leaving its competitors in awe and envy. Notably, BLITZ clinched the prestigious Lord Nelson Trophy in Antigua in 2022, cementing its status as the ultimate racing boat of Antigua Race week. In 2023, the BLITZ continued its winning streak by claiming victory at both STIR and the BVI Spring Regatta. Having conquered every challenge the Caribbean has to offer in its class, the current owner of this esteemed vessel is now prepared to hand over the reins to the next fervent sailor who shares a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Harnessing the forefront of composite technology and masterful design by Mark Mills of Mills Design, this Summit 40 BLITZ inherits the sleek, low-drag hull structure, well thought out cockpit, and deck configuration tailored for racing. Its deep CFD-refined foils and the swept, two-spreader carbon rig equipped with non-overlapping jibs and masthead kites complete this remarkable package. Undergoing a series of meticulously engineered customizations including the Hall Spars carbon mast & boom (2018), a customized carbon high-aspect spade rudder, and a newly incorporated carbon spinnaker pole in 2023 and a long sail inventory with a full 2023 set that was only used in 2 regattas this year. Furthermore, a custom keel & bulb and interior refit to trim unnecessary weight, elevating its performance to keep the team on the top of the podium time and time again.

BLITZ also comes equipped with a custom cradle and a 20' container (Completely refurbished in 2022), ensuring seamless transportation to any corner of the world. Wherever your ambitions may take you, BLITZ stands poised to maintain its legacy of dominance on a global scale. Currently located in Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola BVI in summer storage. Contact Chesnee Cogswell with BVI Yacht Sales for more info, many more photos, full detailed sail inventory or to schedule a showing. BLITZ could be your fast track to the top of the podium!
